Trying to marry art with technology
Packed schedules and client demands leave me with no time to visit art galleries, drink wine and understand the pains that an artist goes through to make himself appreciated. The India Art Collective online art buying initiative was a step in the right direction thus marrying art with technology to benefit the consumer / user / viewer etc. I must say that it is a half hearted attempt on behalf of the organizers to bring so much art to the connected, informed, demanding consumer With artists such as Souza, Mehta etc on display a handful of the so called 120 million online user base has crashed the website and whats more once you get in you realize that the pages have not been created. If the artists plan to marry art with technology they definitely need to get more creative!
